Purpose of Role

To provide technical claims handling for a portfolio of Specialty Claims within agreed authority levels, including Professional Indemnity / Financial Lines, Financial Institutions, and Marine & Energy claims, as well as developing and maintaining good internal and external relationships.

Although the role will be based in London, it will incorporate a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Prompt and accurate claims handling for a portfolio of Specialty Claims.
• Handling claims within authority and seeking / maintaining necessary approval from the Line Manager for handling claims above authority.
• Maintaining accurate data, regularly reviewing outstanding claims and maintaining up-to-date claims records.
• Providing technical support to the Line Manager.
• Developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
• Assisting the Line Manager and Reinsurance team with Reinsurance recoveries.

Key Requirements

• Experience of adjusting FinPro and/or Marine & Energy claims independently within your own authority level.
• Interest to work within a Specialty multi-lines claims position and progress your claims career.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external individuals.
• Strong claims knowledge of either Lloyd’s and/or Company markets.
