A word from the founders
“Why are we different?” is a question that a lot of people ask us. After over 10 years in the Insurance Recruitment industry, it has become so much easier to answer that question – we specialise in our given markets, and we don’t try to be everything to everybody. By knowing our markets so well, we make it our business to hear about the best individuals, the up-and-coming, and the niche.
You may have seen us mention our 24 step Search recruitment process elsewhere on the website, and we really feel that this sets us apart from the competition. It is a tried and tested headhunt process that works really well to attract the top talent in the market, rather than sourcing the best of active job seekers. Perhaps most importantly, it results in both “interview to placement” and “offer to acceptance” ratios that are much higher than the recruitment industry average.
We always take a detailed brief from our clients, and ensure that we really understand the culture of both the company and the team, as well as the skills and experience required. As such, we use precise candidate targeting, and don’t flood our clients with CVs.
The final piece in the jigsaw is to have the right people working with you. All five of us share common values and drive. We are passionate, extremely hardworking, supportive, and knowledgeable in our markets.

Background
Eden James Consulting is an insurance specialist recruitment business, dedicated to recruiting for mid to senior level appointments in both the London and Regional markets, on an Executive Search and Contingency Search basis.
The business is led by Miles Eden and Jamie Thomson, who between them have an extensive and highly successful track record within the Insurance market. They previously worked together at a top insurance search firm, where Miles mentored Jamie on the 24 step process used across the business today. Their background is in Executive Search and Contingency Search recruitment, having filled mid-senior level appointments for a wide range of reputable Lloyd’s and Company Market insurers.
At Eden James Consulting, we feel that by focusing on our areas of expertise, we are able to offer our clients and candidates in-depth knowledge of our given markets. By having an extensive database and excellent Search skills, we are able to fulfil the needs of our clients in an ever changing environment.
